Lexi went missing the morning of Thursday, August 20, 2026, near 4th Street in Vero Beach. After two days of searching, she was found on Old Dixie Highway — she had gone home across the rainbow bridge before she could make it back to us.

She lived a full 15 years and was very loved. She loved sunbathing and car rides, and she's buried in our yard now with her favorite blanket.

She carried me through many phases of life — through college, through heartbreak, through losses of loved ones. She was my constant. She was always there, waiting for me.

We are going to miss her laying in our laps, keeping us warm, and being our shadow at any given moment. She was always ready to lay next to you on the couch and be your best company.

Thank you to everyone who shared her story, put up flyers, called in sightings, and supported us through the search. It meant more than we can say.
